Marilyn Chace Schofield passed away on June 23, 2011.
Her paintings showed an evolution which was reflective of the many passages of her life. The President of the Cape Cod Art Association recently commented that her paintings “are illuminated with a sense of the soul within.”
Her love of color was always with her, even as a small child. However, her impressionistic style of using color was a newer, more free and spontaneous approach to expressing her joy in painting.
Marilyn was widely known for her use of impressionistic, bright color in traditional Cape Cod landscapes and subjects.
